We are the world – We are Pribadi Raharja

We Are The World 25 For Haiti

Hi, I am Jamie Fox.

25 years ago Quincy Jones gathered an amazing group of artists

and musicians to create “We are the world,”

Written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.

I am so proud to able to share a new version of that song.

With the video by Academy of Award winning director by Paul Haggis.

Two weeks ago we found ourselves surounded by a dazzling array of artists

of all ages and backgrounds, and jobs.

But all of whom share a common commitment to take action

to help Haiti rise from the rubble and rebuild.

As artists, we hope that you enjoy the video and

join us in this rare simulcast to millions around the world, as

we ask you to please do more just watch.

Reach deep into your hearts and give anything you can

as we have for Haiti.

(In Haitian Creole: San passe, na boule)

Whatever you have, no matter how big or how small it all counts.

Thank you so much and enjoy the video.

Wow. Thank you so much watching, everybody.

You know ‘We are the World 25’ is opportunity for us

to see what we can do to help our fellow man.

Haiti right now is in deperate need of our help,

And only you can help them.

Do what you can. Haiti needs your help now.

When we are fearless, knowledge has no limits — and neither do our hopes and dreams. When we are fearless, we emerge ready to do something bold. At Raharja, we take on the challenges that exist in our vibrant city. Innovators. Artists. Leaders. Thinkers. Changemakers. We can’t see the future, but we can be the future. Together we can be the best, learn something new, make something real. Together we are Pribadi Raharja and we are fearless.

If we can fight together, we must strive together

If we can play together, we must pray together

If we can plan together, we must stand together

If we can cry together, we must try together

If we sing together, we must make peace together

If we stick together, we must stay strong together

If we have faith together, we must believe together

We must work together, so we can make a better Raharja

We can come together

Young and old

And learn together

Laugh together

Be happy together

We must try together, if we can cry together

Together we can come together as one

sung by: Rilee O’Neill

We are going to change the world

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
I believe it’s not too late
Together we can change the world.
Lay the puzzle pieces out
Find out what it’s all about
Together we can change the world

Refrain:

Can’t do it by myself
So I’m asking for your help
Together we can change the world
Sail past where it’s been charted
Roll your sleeves up, let’s get started
Together we can change the world
Together we can change the world

With our hands and with our hearts
We can dare to make a start

Together we can change the world
What if we spoke with one voice,
Knowing that we have a choice?
Together we can change the world

REFRAIN

Change your mind and change your life
Set aside the fear and strife
Together we can change the world
When we open up our eyes

Then we start to realize
Together we can change the world

REFRAIN 2x

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
I believe it’s not too late
Together we can change the world

Hello, I’m Severn Suzuki speaking for “ECO” — the Environmental Children’s Organization.

We are a group of 12 and 13 year-olds trying to make a difference: Vanessa Suttie, Morgan Geisler, Michelle Quigg, and me. We’ve raised all the money to come here ourselves — to come 5,000 miles to tell you adults you must change your ways.

Coming up here today, I have no hidden agenda. I am fighting for my future. Losing my future is not like losing an election, or a few points on the stock market.

I am here to speak for all generations to come. I am here to speak — speak on behalf of the starving children around the world whose cries go unheard. I am here to speak for the countless animals dying across this planet, because they have nowhere left to go. I am afraid to go out in the sun now, because of the holes in our ozone. I am afraid to breathe the air, because I don’t know what chemicals are in it.

I used to go in — I used to go fishing in Vancouver, my home, with my Dad until, just a few years ago, we found the fish full of cancers. And now we hear of animals and plants going extinct every day, vanishing forever. In my life, I have dreamt of seeing the great herds of wild animals, jungles, and rainforests full of birds and butterflies, but now I wonder if they will even exist for my children to see.

Did you have to worry of these things when you were my age? All this is happening before our eyes and yet we act as if we have all the time we want and all the solutions. I’m only a child and I don’t have all the solutions. I don’t — I want you to realize, neither do you. You don’t know how to fix the holes in our ozone layer. You don’t know how to bring the salmon back up in a dead stream. You don’t know how to bring back an animal now extinct. And you can’t bring back the forests that once grew where there is now a desert. If you don’t know how to fix it, please stop breaking it.

Here, you may be delegates of your governments, business people, organizers, reporters, or politicians. But, really, you are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles — and all of you are someone’s child.

I’m only a child, yet I know we are all part of a family — five billion strong; in fact 30 million species strong —  and borders and governments will never change that. I’m only a child, yet I know we are all in this together and should act as one single world towards one single goal.

In — In my anger, I’m not blind; and in my fear, I’m not afraid of telling the world how I feel. In my country we make so much waste, we buy and throw away, buy and throw away, buy and throw away and yet Northern countries will not share with the needy. Even when we have more than enough we are afraid to share; we are afraid to let go of some of our wealth.

In Canada, we live the privileged life. We’ve plenty of food, water, and shelter. We have watches, bicycles, computers, and television sets. The list could go on for two days. Two days ago, here in Brazil, we were shocked when we spent time with some children living on the streets. This is what one child told us: “I wish I was rich and if I were, I would give all the street children food, clothes, medicines, shelter, and love and affection.”

If a child on the streets who has nothing is willing to share, why are we who have everything still so greedy? I can’t stop thinking that these are children my own age, that it makes a tremendous difference where you are born; that I could be one of those children living in the favelas of Rio. I could be a child starving in Somalia, or a victim of war in the Middle East, or a beggar in India. I am only a child, yet I know if all the money spent on war was spent on finding environmental answers ending poverty and in finding treaties, what a wonderful place this Earth would be.

At school, even in kindergarten, you teach us how to behave in the world. You teach us to not to fight with others, to work things out, to respect others, to clean up our mess, not to hurt other creatures, to share, not be greedy. Then, why do you go out and do — do the things you tell us not to do? Do not forget why you are attending these conferences — who you’re doing this for. We are your own children. You are deciding what kind of a world we are growing up in.

Parents should be able to comfort their children by saying, “Everything’s going to be all right; it’s not the end of the world, and we’re — and we’re doing the best we can.” But I don’t think you can say that to us anymore. Are we even on your list of priorities?

My dad always says, “You are what you do, not what you say.” Well, what you do makes me cry at night. You grown-ups say you love us. But I challenge you, please, make your actions reflect your words.

Thank you.

Together We Can Make A Difference…

1150828_algarrobo_beach_1.jpg

I once had a dream. Since I was a child, I was “haunted” by a vision. Through my mind’s eyes, I kept seeing a beautiful place, merged into nature, where people lived peacefully and happily.
This vision became an obsession to me. I just could not stop thinking about such a place. I wanted to change the world, to participate in the construction of that peaceful world I envisioned.
Many years went by and I still kept having the vision. Sometimes, I would try to share with friends this feeling, but always heard back: what can you do to change the world? Who do you think you are to be able to change the world? These statements had a great power over me, making me loose faith in myself and thinking that I really could not do anything to change the world.
At the same time, I kept remembering what Mahatma Gandhi once said: “Just be the change you want to see out there in the world”. And then, one day, I read a book called “The Isaias Effect”, about Essenians’ teachings. There I was presented to the concept of the power that arises from  many people joined together with the same intention. So I thought to myself: I cannot change the world by myself, but definitely a critical mass can make a difference!
The photons in the universe are full of our feelings and emotions and they vibrate permanently influencing all of us, like ripples in a lake. Nowadays, people have thoughts of fear, anxiety, insecurity. And these feelings influence the whole collective mind. But if we can change ourselves, if we “go back home” to our essence — silence — we will start changing ourselves and then, consequently, the universe will mirror that change. That idea started to come very often to my mind.
Then, in 2005, I organized a group with my Yoga students to take the course “Seduction of the Spirit”, at the Chopra Center in San Diego. After a few days of many hours of meditation, during a meal, I had a serious talk to one of my students, Fran Abreu, who owns an advertising agency in Brazil. I told him about my dream of changing the world and asked for his help. To my surprise, he said: YES!
At that time I also read an article that in Washington DC 30 000 people had gathered for a collective meditation and the police made a research to prove that 30% of the violence of the city dropped soon after the event. With this information in mind, in 2006 we started Yoga for Peace, which is now in its fourth edition.Yoga means union. At Yoga for Peace we have the objective of uniting more and more people every year to expand their consciousness, to become better human beings and, consequently, to be able to create a better world through the power of intention.
We do not care about religion, sex, belief, race or social status. We want to gather human beings. In the first year, we gathered 5.000 people in an open space on a Sunday morning in August. Everybody helped the way they could. The event is free to all people. In 2007,  10.000 people joined and in 2008, almost 20 000 people  participated in Yoga for Peace and The I International Congress of Yoga and Ayurveda held in Sao2 Paulo – Brazil.
This year, 2009, the event will take place in 10 different Brazilian cities. Yoga for Peace has come to stay! Each year we gather more and more people and the consciousness for a better world is spreading…
People are becoming aware that alone we cannot do much but TOGETHER WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR A BETTER WORLD!
As Sai Baba says:
There is only one religion, the religion of the heart
There is only one caste, the caste of humanity
There is only one language, the language of love,
There is only one God, he is inside of each one of us and WE ARE ALL ONE.

All of a sudden, my dream is becoming true, we are participating in the creation of a place to live that is full of Peace, Harmony, Laughter and Love!

Raharja memang BEDA!

Keesokannya…

Udin : Tong, mana materinya? kok belum email sih lu?

Otong : udah gue email kok

Udin : ke email mana?

Otong : ke email yahoo lu lah

Udin : Kok ke yahoo sih, ke hotmail aja

Otong : Lu nggak bilang sih, cuma bilang email doang, ya mana gue tau

2. Raharja punya TPi

Kalo mau tau TPi itu apa, nih kepo in aja disini.

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
Charles Dickens

5. Raharja melatih Public Speaking Training

Kalau temen-temen punya alasan lainnya, silahkan tinggalkan komennya ^^

thanks for BBC ya.

7 Tips untuk Sukses di iLP

1: Manajemen Waktu

2: Pastikan semua gadget terkoneksi internet

TPi bukan nama stasiun TV. TPi adalah ten pillar IT ilearning.

4: Rinfo is a magic key

5: Bantu mahasiswa iLP lainnya
